== Re: NEWS: SEXUAL CRIME ==

Namaskar,
I cannot forget how in 1970, one of the monks in the Ramakrishna Mission committed this type of devious sexual crime in rural Jaipur. The outraged villagers took matters into their own hands.

Villagers caught the monk and removed his saffron robe and put him in civil dress. Then they painted his face black, forced him to sit on a donkey, and paraded him through the town with a placard hanging from his neck which read, “I am a child molester.”

But it did not stop there.

More and more villagers joined in and they physically detained that monk and forcibly removed his reproductive organ in such a manner that the monk had to be hospitalized. News of this spread around the whole of India. The monk was shamed by his criminal dealing and will remember his misdeed his entire life.

The sexual crime by Mukunda’nanda must also be taken seriously and addressed accordingly. Thus far the villagers of Daltonganj in 2012 have not dealt with the aggressor the way those villagers of Jaipur did in 1970. How and what the villagers do is for them to decide. But allowing the crime to go unpunished is not acceptable. The culprit must be taken to task.

Namaskar,
Raviindra Deva

== NEWS: SEXUAL CRIME ==

Namaskar,
Recently one Dada sexually attacked a young girl from Daltonganj. The assailant is a sectorial-level VSS worker of Delhi sector. This attack was carried out in a most violent and gruesome manner.

We are calling upon those with details of this ghastly incident to come forward with more information.

At present, the Rudrananda group is trying hard to cover up this crime.

We should not become like the Catholic church whose priests are infamous for their sexual crimes, yet all along the church systemically engaged in denial and cover ups. Now they are facing the consequences and paying heavily for their systemic and insidious problem. Our Marga should not march down a similar road.

An assertive, pro-active response is the need of the hour. If anyone knows about this tragic occurrence please let us know.

Namaskar,
Nagendra Deva

Baba

“Tandra’ yadi a’se he prabhu bheunge dio…” (PS 2497)

Purport:

O’ my Prabhu, O’ Baba, please grace me so that I can better serve You. If tandra’*, if drowsiness ever overcomes my being then please destroy that. And if vanity ever enters into my mind, then please pulverise that into the dust and keep me in Your shelter. Baba, please grace me so that I can follow You.

O’ my dearmost, if I ever forget You and move along the sinful path, then with a thunderous voice please guide and discipline me and bring me back under Your shelter.

Baba, by Your grace I have come onto this earth– You have brought me here– to do Your work, to serve You by doing mantra japa, kiirtan, sadhana, and dhyana. Baba, by Your grace I have come here to move on the pathway which You have shown me. Baba, please saturate my mind with this divine truth: That I have come here to remain involved with You– to revolve around You. Baba, You are the be-all and end-all of my life.

Baba, please be ever-gracious so that I can remain under Your shelter permanently, forever and ever…

NOTES FOR PRABHAT SAMGIITA #2497:

[1] Tandra: (Literally meaning ‘drowsiness’) In the above Prabhat Samgiita, Baba gives the feeling that tandra does not mean physical weariness but rather drowsiness in the spiritual realm, i.e. when people remain oblivious of the spiritual world. When they think that sadhana is for the future only. In that way their life just passes while involving only in various mundane thoughts and preoccupation. By this way the mind gradually gets crudified. This state of remaining oblivious to one’s spiritual life is known as tandra, or drowsiness in the spiritual sense.

As we know Prabhat Samgiita is something divine– not mundane. For this reason we can understand when the term tandra’ is used in this song it refers to the spiritual realm. We should see Prabhat Samgiita in higher aspects.

Baba has furthermore told that one can only properly understand Prabhat Samgiita when mind is at the trikuti (ajina cakra) or above. Otherwise one cannot understand the meaning.

Sometimes in Prabhat Samgiita Baba uses terms related with mundane things; but this is done as an allegory only. The inner sense is something deeper. So on the mundane level tandra’ means physical drowsiness but in this song is refers to spiritual drowsiness.

Finally, in this materialistic era, people are more involved in their crude material gain than their spiritual growth and development. What to say about common human beings, this is quite common the case in our own vast AM family as well, including myself.

Here are Baba’s furthermore comments on tandra’ and spiritual drowsiness and lethargy.

Baba says, “Every human being, from the age of fourteen or fifteen, has an innate desire to ideate on Parama Purus’a. With cosmic ideation one will attain vast expansion of mind, one will become great in all respects. No one can check the all-round growth of such a person. People realise this and yet ignore it and thus waste their time getting old for nothing. That is, they waste their time in non-spiritual pursuits. This is called ‘spiritual lethargy’. It causes the greatest harm to human life because it results in only a very small percentage of the human potentiality – maybe one or two percent – being utilised by humans. Even those who we call great personalities hardly use ten percent of their potentialities. Due to spiritual lethargy people are unable to grow, and thus remain very ordinary. They come to the world, live, decay and die as ordinary human beings.” (AV-8, ‘Bad Habits Which Should Be Given Up’)

And here Baba explains about tandra’ and the six defects:

Nidra’ tandra’ bhayam’ krodha a’lasyam’ diirghasu’trata’;
S’ad’ados’a’h purus’en’eha ha’ntavya’h bhu’timicchata’.

Baba says, “Those who want to prosper in life must destroy these six defects in themselves: nidra’ [sleep], tandra’ [drowsiness], a’lasya [lethargy], bhaya [fear], krodha [anger], and diirghasu’trata’ [procrastination].” (AV-31, ‘Sleep & Inertia’)

== PREVALENT MYTHS IN ANANDA MARGA ==

Namaskar,
The following are some common myths propagated these days in our Marga. Bear in mind that in certain areas, some of these myths are more (or less) prevalent. Where such myths are not yet common, some interest groups are working hard to infuse them.

Hence, either the following are happening in your unit or they will be happening soon if precautionary measures are not taken.

Here then are the prevailing myths:

1. One must do caran sparsha mudra / touching the feet of a Wt even if you do not have respect for that worker.

2. Those in saffron cloth are venerable – period. There is no need to consider their merits or demerits.

3. Importance is given to the post – do not care about a worker’s conduct.

4. Baba has gone far away to some unknown place “Divya Dhama” – divine place.

5. Purodhas with vishesh yoga and of higher post are spiritually elevated. They are above all conduct rules so do not compare or judge them by whether they follow certain rules or not. They are far above this level.

6. The conduct rules are for junior Wts and margiis only – not for those with higher post.

7. In AMPS, the key people are Wts; margiis are 2nd class citizens. That is why margiis cannot be Purodhas.

8. Male Wts are first class and female workers are second class.

9. To get Baba’s blessing one must visit Kolkata, Jamalpur, Ananda Nagar, Ranchi, Delhi, Mumbai, Diigha, Vishnupur, Allahabad, Bhagalpur, Ananda Shiila and so many places where Baba stayed (i.e. where there is a Baba Quarters) & asthi kalash (holy ashes). For moksa must go to Kolkata or Jamalpur – only.

10. Margiis and junior Wts must salute those holding higher posts.

11. At ETC (Eraws Training Camp), WRC (VSS camp), the controlling Wts are kings and the attendees are slaves. Similarly in Wt Training Centre, the trainer and in-charges are kings and the trainees are slaves.

12. In our WT cadre, the central workers have the automatic right to be “haves”, i.e. live in the lap of luxury, while common workers are forced to live hand to mouth, as the “have-nots”. The “haves” have 500 times more than the “have-nots”. This is the dharmic way – one must not think there is anything wrong. This is approved by dharma.

13. In our Wt cadre, all those who are “haves” deserve more respect. Any Wt with money should be respected. Poor wts are worthless.

14. If anyone does silent action to a Wt who is nearby, then that person observing silent action will be beaten up and punished – deservedly so.

15. It is both normal & dharmic to observe an annual shraddha to commemorate a respected deceased person on the anniversary of their death. Just as Mahaprayan Divas (MPD) is done annually, this is also done.

16. Baba was Purodha Pramukha and He has given His seat to the PP Dada. So PP Dada can give boons and blessings. Those who visit must do sastuanga pranam to PP Dada. That is the aura.

17. Newlyweds must pay to get PP Dada’s marriage blessing in order to have successful marriage.

18. Baba is ruling organisation through PP Dada so blindly follow.

Note: You can read more about all these issues on our blogs:

Please also share if you have more to add to the above list.

Secret Behind…

Everybody knows that devotion is the highest thing in human life. And Baba’s below teaching discloses the reason why our most devotional scripture has been composed in the genre of poetry: Because poetry is easy to memorise. For this reason Baba has composed our devotional scripture – i.e. Prabhat Samgiita – in poetic verse.

Baba says, “When anyone says something, the eyes are engaged in seeing, the
ears in hearing, and the mind dances in rhythm. In the absence of rhythm it is difficult to memorize. That is why since ancient times, for 15,000 years, the common practice has been to bring every valuable branch of knowledge within the scope of rhythm. Human beings do not easily forget rhythm. One may forget the contents of knowledge, but not the rhythm. That is why all Vedic Rks were composed in 7 meters. All literary compositions were brought within the gamut of the seven Vedic metres…as they are valuable for the memory.” (APH-5, p.353)

Baba

“Maner mayu’r meleche ye pa’kha’ krs’n’a meghe dekhe ca’nderi pa’she… “(#392)

Purport:

The divine Entity Parama Purusa has come and by His holy advent the whole creation is getting awakened. By seeing the clouds close to the moon, the peacock of my mind is extending its feathers. By the effect of the intoxicating and vibrating songs, the lyre of my heart is getting resonated. The lost heart has come back again. All those tunes which I had lost are again being played.

Baba, my entire existence has been reawakened. I In the deep blue sky, that divinely-intoxicating, heart-stopping vibration has come. Because of the advent of the ever-new, everything which was lost has gotten rejuvenated.

The rhythm which was gone has again returned, & now my whole body and mind is starting to dance to the tune which I had lost in the past. I have offered the entire basket of my heart at His alter; I have surrendered my whole existence at His lotus feet. The sweet breeze saturated with the flower fragrance is blowing.

Baba, due to Your divinely intoxicating presence and causeless grace, everything has gotten new life…

== REALLY IT IS SO-CALLED? ==

Namaskar,
Of late there has been an email thread called “silent action”. You may have seen it in your in-box. Here our main focus is to examine the way of expression in one such letter.

REVERENCE IS NEEDED

As disciples on the tantric path, one of the most essential qualities is reverence for Guru. There must be utmost regard for Baba and that has to be reflected in all aspects of our expression: Thought, word, and deed.

Baba explains this quite clearly in His teachings:

Baba says, “I must have reverence for the Guru….That is, you must have respect for the Guru.” (Ananda Vacanamrtam, Part 12, Shiva’s Seven Secrets)

Baba says, “One must develop shraddhá [respect or reverence] for one’s preceptor, one’s teacher.”” (Ananda Vacanamrtam, Part 23, How to Concentrate)

Baba says, “One has [to] embrace the Supreme Cognitive Force with utmost reverence, single minded devotion and extreme sincerity.” (Ananda Marga Ideology and Way of Live, part 6, The Only Way to Salvation)

Thus, maximum reverence for Guru and His teachings is a requisite in Tantra. Without such respect, there is nothing left. If the disciple does not bow down to the Guru in all ways, they cannot progress – rather they will degrade. Thus in one’s thought, word and deed, in all of one’s manners and expressions, a sadhaka must demonstrate respect of the highest regard for Guru.

WHAT ONE PERSON WROTE

Tragically, in the thread on silent action, one person wrote:

Baba has provided for the so-called ‘Silent Action’

Such were the unfortunate words of one person – words that do not reflect even an ounce of respect for Guru.

As we know Baba’s divine teachings are invaluable treasures for the humanity. His discourses bring forth guidelines never before kjnown to human society and spiritual practitioners. Baba’s teachings are indeed blemishness and incredibly unique.

And His guideline of silent action is totally revolutionary. In this guideline Baba empowers family people to question the status of monks / wts. In the history of humanity, no prophet or preacher has dared to give such an edict.

Yet Baba, being the dharma Guru, has set down this special guideline of silent action to ensure that family margiis have the requisite tools to express their dissatisfaction with a particular worker. So silent action is a highly valuable and key guideline. The fact that Baba Himself has issued this teaching is enough that every Ananda Margii should respect it.

But tragically one persons casts extreme doubt and irreverence by calling it “so-called” silent action. As if Baba’s divine teaching of silent action is fake, useless, phony and of no value.

SILENT ACTION IS AN EXCELLENT TOOL

All rational margiis & wts understand well that silent action is a highly beneficial teaching given by our Sadguru. Here are some things to consider:

1. Whether or not we choose to observe silent action in today’s organisational climate, silent actions stands as an excellent tool in a healthy society.

2. Baba’s teaching of silent action has inherent value. There is no scope for someone to term it as “so-called.” Suppose there is an avadhuta rule that is not followed by the majority of Wts, then we should not call that avadhuta rule as so-called. We should not denigrate Baba’s teaching just because some are not up to the mark. Similarly, just because some may not wish to use or do not know how to use silent action for a particular situation does not at all mean that one may call it so-called silent action. That is demeaning to both Guru and His given teaching of silent action.

3. At present, because of corruption by some organisational leaders and the lack of understanding of some margiis, silent action is not practiced nor allowed to be practiced. It is similar to how a corrupt government does not acknowledge that justice should be given.

4. Silent action is part of our dharmashastra as it stems from Ananda Vacanamrtam. If a case is being reviewed by the acarya board, we have the freedom to practice silent action against the concerned worker. This is Baba’s clear-cut teaching. It is part and parcel of our spiritual philosophy so there is no question of referring to it in a denigrating manner liked “so-called”.

5. Silent action works best when the margii is in close physical proximity to the worker in question. If the margiis and worker do not see each other frequently, then the worker may not even be aware that someone is taking silent actions against him. Hence, silent action is a very potent guideline when used in the right circumstance.

And certainly there is much more to be said about the right and proper use of silent action. Suffice to say here that anyone referring to silent action or any of Guru’s divine teachings as “so-called” is being totally disrespectful and is undeserving to be called as Ananda Margii. Such a person should come forward an beg apology to correct his wrong. And he should vow to never make such a sinful mistake again.

BABA’S BLESSING

Baba has graciously bestowed on us the pure spiritual teachings of Ananda Marga. His guidelines are perfect and pure in all regards. We are truly blessed. There is zero scope to think that any teaching is “so-called.” Rather Baba’s each and every teaching is a veritable gold mine. Anyone who thinks otherwise is merely exposing their lowly mentality.

Namaskar,
Jivendra

Note 1: WHO WROTE LIKE THAT

Now we should take a look at who wrote like this and named silent action as “so-called”.

Actually many might say this person to be a good sadhaka but by his use of the word “so-called” it seems as though he is losing his mental balance. Otherwise how to explain such an irreverent utterance.

We must remember that this world is mobile. Nothing remains the same – everyone and everything ages. Same is the case with this person. We should watch him carefully as he is advancing in years.

Let us not forget what happened with the first PP Dada Shraddhananda. Dadaji started suffering from dementia and began writing silly things and making a mockery. There are thousands of Shraddha Shuman songs which prove this point.

Intelligent people will always keep quiet when they start losing their capacity in old age. Their friends and family will help them and warn them about this.

Unfortunately, SS Goenka is just roaming the internet in such a condition and calling Baba’s divine teachings as so-called. Is this not his dementia. Or what could be the reason why this is going on.

Truly it will be considered as a terrible tragedy if Goenka can no longer put his thoughts together properly. Someone should warn him of such an event and / or tell him to be more careful next time.

This Must Be Averted

Baba says, “‘Andham tamah pravishanti mudha ye ke catmahano janah.’ What
happens to the person who runs after the external mundane things instead of
the Self within? One day he finds himself surrounded by the blinding
darkness (Andhatamasa). All around he finds nothing. When a person whose
self has miserably degenerated, whose spiritual progress is altogether
stopped, rushes towards matter, his whole existence starts getting
crudified, his mind and Self get crudified, he forfeits the right even to
be called a human being. This is indeed a miserable condition, an
unimaginable circumstance.” (Calcutta, 1980)

Subject: Why Should Any Sincere Devotee Sacrifice for Factional Cause?

Baba

“A’ka’shabhara’ a’jake ta’ra’…” (P.S. 2523)

Purport:

Baba, the sky of this amavasya night is filled with the stars. The sweet, nectar-like breeze is blowing mildly. The mind is floating in divine ecstasy from the known to the unknown world– towards its final destination. Baba, ensconced in Your ideation, my mind is getting lost in Your divine bliss.   Baba, the lily flower is constantly looking towards the sky; the aroma of flowers is emanating all around. They have forgotten themselves and lost their awareness about their own unit existence. They restlessly move in the attraction of one call.   Baba in Your longing I am sitting alone, counting the stars. I understand that by Your grace I have lost myself in this beautiful atmosphere and the attraction of Your love. Baba, You are ever-gracious and You are always remaining by my side and guiding me. Baba, on this amavasya night my heart is yearning and longing for You. Please grace me by coming closer and still more close…

WHY SHOULD ANY SINCERE DEVOTEE

SACRIFICE FOR ANY FACTIONAL CAUSE?

Namaskar,
The aim of any ideological sadhaka is not to preach any sermon per se. All that they share in their letters are the teachings of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ji. And we are simply passing on His message to our Guru Bhra’ta’s, i.e. disciples of Baba.

THEIRS IS NOT AN IDEOLOGICAL FIGHT

The present group fight in our Marga is not an ideological fight. Here ideological means Baba’s divine teachings, not any group agenda. This fight is all about their own selfish group interest. Here following the is the logic and reasoning in support of this fact.

Since 1990, so many injustices have been done related with ideology, yet none of these following points are ever raised by these group leaders – i.e. H, B, or EC. Rather they are the perpetrators.

1. Destruction of BP rights and imposition of the Fake BP Manual;
2. Expulsion used as a weapon since 1995  when all groups were living under one roof;
3. Countless intentional scriptural distortions such as placing “Translated from the original Bengali” on the cover page of all AM books, even if those discourses were given in English or Hindi;
4. Elimination of the margii based ACB system: Advisory Committees & Boards;
5. Curtailment of margii rights;
6. Creation of dogmatic pilgrimages in Ananda Nagar, Kolkata, & Jamalpur, and many other places;
7. Issuing of Fake Ananda Vaniis;
8. Victimisation of countless innocent Ananda Margiis;
9. Bangalisation of AM teachings;
10. Ruination of Prabhat Samgiita by using filmy singers etc;
11. Not recognising Silent Action as a fundamental right;
12. Rejecting English and Hindi passages spoken by Baba and only translating the Bengali portions of Baba’s holy DMC discourses which were given by Baba in three languages;
13. Treating Baba as a mortal being by using the shraddha mantra for Sadguru Baba and the imposition of dogmatic Mahaprayan;
14. Construction of dogmatic memorials to limit Baba to a particular land or place;
15. And so many more ideological wrongs.

Note: Please do write us if you wish more information on any of the above points.

Yet, no group ever raises any of these universal points related with AM teachings / ideology. They only raise their own selfish claims based on their group agenda for post and power.

So all this infighting is nothing but a factional power fight. In that case why should margiis quarrel, give their resources and time, and do & die in such a fight when it is all about selfishness and grabbing the post – and nothing else.

Regarding the above listed ideological points related with margii rights and scripture etc, neither the factions of Tiirthananda & EC, nor B faction, nor H (i.e. Ranchi faction) support these purely ideological issues. Never do they ever raise these items – they only raise points of personal lust for post and power.

Then why should any sincere devotee sacrifice themselves for this cause of infighting and group agenda. There is no ideology on either side. That is Baba’s teaching.

BABA’S TEACHING:

THEY FORGOT THEIR IDEOLOGY

In addition to the quote about the two Buddhist groups noted in the original letter on this topic (see note 1), kindly review this below teaching:

Baba says, “About thirty-five years ago [in 1936], a war was going on between two countries, the citizens of which have the same religion (Buddhist). When the soldiers went to war, their mothers used to pray to Lord Buddha to save the lives of their respective sons. What will Lord Buddha do? Save this man or that man? Both have the same “Is’t’a,” but both parties have totally forgotten their ideology. If they were established in the ideology, they would not have gone to war.” (SE)

The above teaching is a sound file (titled “Baba is on my side”) of Baba’s voice from Purnea DMC 1971 which is posted to the left side of the AM-GLOBAL blog, http://www.am-global-01.blogspot.com/

KEEP BALANCED MIND

With all due respect, when the mind is filled with emotion then rationality fades away. So when two people want to talk on substantial issues, they should not pre-judge anything. Keeping an open mind and using one’s power of rationality is of utmost importance.

WE ARE UNIVERSALISTS

One other point of note: As Ananda Margiis we are neither Indian, nor American, nor Filipino, nor members of any other nationality or group. We are universalists. Our outlook should not be pro-Indian or pro-American  etc. Only we should see the world through the eyes of our neo-humanistic ideology.

WHEN TO FIGHT

Indeed there is a time to fight:

Baba says, “Fight for your Ideology. Be one with your Ideology. Live for your Ideology. Die for your Ideology.” (Ananda Vanii #14)

So we should fight for ideology. But when two or more groups are just involved in their own selfish infighting and rush for power, and when no group is willing to stand up for any true ideological issue, and when margiis are getting confused by groupist propaganda, then the main job at hand is to awaken others.

Baba NEVER says, “Fight for your group agenda. Be one with your group agenda. Live for your group agenda. Die for your group agenda.”

Namaskar,
Virendra

Note 1:                                 BABA’S FOREWARNING:

SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE BUDDHIST MONKS OF OLD

DO NOT REPEAT SUCH INFIGHTING

Now please read the following quote. It is very clear. Baba has forewarned us not to fall in this very trap of infighting as occurred with those Buddhist monks 2500 years ago, but now some Dadas are committing this same blunder.

Baba says, “Great differences in opinion developed among the bhikkus (monks) some time after his death. Two groups of bhikkus emerged – Sthaviravádii, the southern school of Buddhist doctrine, and Mahásáḿghika (the northern school), which later on became known as “Hiinayána” and “Maháyána” respectively. But that was not the end of it. Innumerable branches and sub-branches emerged, countless philosophies of Sthaviraváda, Vijiṋánaváda, Shúnyaváda, Mahásukhaváda, and Atisukaváda. Each one of these groups became so engrossed in their own so-called ideologies, doctrines and subdoctrines that they did not have any time to do any constructive work.” (AFPS-4)

In His above teaching Baba is describing how the Buddhist monks divided into factions and spent all their days in infighting. For this reason they could not do any real service to the society. That is very real history and therein lies Baba’s distinct warning.

Tragically, nowadays in AM, all our top Dada have separated into various groups – B, H, EC etc – and they are consumed in battling one another for supremacy. That is the unfortunate scene that has developed in the Marga. A classic example of this is the legal battle going on in NY. The two groups involved are committing all their energy, time, and resourceds etc into this group conflict, and hence they are unable to serve the general society. Is it not a mirror image of what transpired long ago?

==> This above note is an excerpt from the posting, Baba’s Forewarning On NY Court Case. To read that entire letter visit:

*********************************************
Religious Dogma and Females

Baba says, “In the past it was the practice in India that if a woman heard the recitation of the Vedas even by accident, molten lead was poured into her ears. This was done because if women were not suppressed they could not be easily exploited and ordered about to do menial work, like maid servants.” (PNS-16)

Note: Religions have always suppressed and exploited various sections of society in order to impose their dogmatic ideas. Weaker, minority groups always suffered terribly at the hands of religion. And always it was always the all-powerful clergy who soaked up the benefits. That is, all the rules and regulations were bent in favour of the dominant class, i.e. the male clergy etc.

So since the birth of religion on this globe, various anti-social and harmful activities have been done in the name any particular religion. In that circumstance, in order to protect the downtrodden masses, the state or government has had to intercede and declare those religious decrees to be unlawful.

For instance, in the US, the state has stepped forward and opposed the false rule that black and whites should not marry. Yet for years and years the dominant white churches opposed these inter-racial marriages. But, in the due course of things, the US government has declared such inter-racial unions, i.e white-black marriages to be legal. Likewise in India the government has come forward to make ordinances against the Hindu tradition that the wife must burn herself to death by throwing herself on the husband’s funeral pyre. Now this dogmatic religious tradition is basically outlawed and not done anymore. Plus in the US, the government has declared that polygamy is illegal– a man can no longer keep multiple wives. So the Mormon religion and others like it in the US can no longer impose rule that a man can have as many wives as he likes.

In all these circumstances when religion has imposed hateful and harmful rules against the weaker sections of society, at some point the government was forced to take a stand against those religious dogmas by declaring them illegal. This we have witnessed in nearly every country around the globe.

So today when the various Muslim communities impose the idea that women must wear a veil in public, then soon we are going to see this reversed by various governments. And in some places this has already begun.

Especially so because, at present, radical Muslims use the veil as a way to hide the face of their terrorist attackers. In that case, it is the duty of the government to intercede and declare such veils as illegal. Because in the present moment, in the name of wearing a veil, both male and female Muslim terrorist bombers sneak into public places to carry out their attacks. Because in many countries, male policeman are prohibited to ask females to lift their veil. Then that veil becomes a special tactic of Muslim religious radicals to sneak their attackers– either male or female– into public events and carry out their destructive plans. Because anyone can hide behind that veil and go where they like. All because of their dogmatic religious rule that females must cover their face with a veil in public.

Given this, states and governments have no other recourse than to outlaw the dogmatic provision that females must always move in public wearing a veil. And soon we will see this law come into effect pervasively. Because at present, dogmatic Muslim leaders are imposing this illogical rule on females and side by side using this as a means to carry out their heinous activities.

*Tandra= (Literally meaning ‘drowsiness’) In the above Prabhat Samgiita, Baba gives the feeling that tandra does not mean physical weariness but rather drowsiness in the spiritual realm, i.e. when people remain oblivious of the spiritual world.

Nidra’ tandra’ bhayam’ krodha a’lasyam’ diirghasu’trata’;

5. Purodhas with vishesh yoga of higher post are spiritually elevated. They are above all conduct rules so do not compare judge them by whether they follow certain rules or not. They are far above this level.

6. The conduct rules are for junior Wts and margiis only – not for those with higher post.

7. In AMPS, the key people are Wts; margiis are 2nd class citizens. That is why margiis cannot be Purodha.

Baba

“Kare ja’tra’ halo shuru, bhule gechi se katha’…” (699)

Baba, when exactly my journey started I do not know; it is not in my
mind. I have completely forgotten the day when my journey towards You started. Since many lives, by Your grace You have been attracting me– step by step.

By Your causeless compassion I am moving in that divine liila– reducing
the radius gradually and coming closer & closer to You. How much I suffered on the way and, how many thorns pierced my feet and hindered my forward movement on the path– that I do not remember. Those memories are not in my mind.

On the journey towards You by Your grace I crossed the torturous fiery
blaze of the burning desert. And other times I got totally drenched from
the pouring rains of the thunderstorms. But, no matter what the obstacle,
by Your grace You always gave me the strength and perseverance to move on. Baba, by Your grace You are always bringing me close to You.

So many spring seasons and their beauty have come and I got intoxicated
by that attraction. And in Your longing, in Your divine attraction, You
filled my heart with devotion. And by Your grace I sang Prabhat Samgiita
songs and kiirtan with heartfelt yearning and longing. In this way my life
has passed– sometimes in dark moments and sometimes in effulgent ones.
But through it is, by Your grace gradually I have reached close to You,
under Your shelter. Baba You are so gracious. Baba, You are my everything…

== PLAN FOR KEEPING MARGIIS MUM ==

Namaskar,
As we know silent action is one very special and deeply meaningful teaching
which Baba has given. And it works in its own particular and special way.

And we also that our organisation is riddles with problems– a mess that
has originated in the upper echelons of AMPS. And it is those same persons,
and their lackeys, that try to smother or subdue margiis attempts of
protest and resurgence by manipulating Baba’s special tool of silent action.

A FEW ANALOGIES ABOUT HOW SILENT ACTION WORKS

Just as various asanas work to cure particular diseases and just like
how in ‘A Few Problems Solved’ Baba has given specific solutions to solve
certain designated cases, similarly silent action has its unique way of
functioning for opposing injustices and bringing people onto the proper
path. Means it works within its own specific sphere of influence or
jurisdiction — and not beyond that.

SOME MISLEAD IN THEIR OWN WAY

Unfortunately, some are trying to capitalise on the situation by telling
that ‘silent is the only way to approach or protest’. And in this way
silent action has become a tool in certain peoples’ hand.

The general sense is that in this material world, crude and cunning people
are always searching for ways to cheat and befool the common people.

For example when one crafty intellectual read the Bhagavad Giita then he
found the point that everyone has to face their own samskara, reactive
momenta. The basic theory being that people have to undergo the reactions
from their past life. But this point he manipulated in his own direction.

Because just see, then this negative intellectual created the theory that
you laborers must not unnecessarily make a hue and cry about increasing the
wages; your wretched condition is the result of your acquired sin which you
did in your previous life. In this life you should be “dharmic”– do hard
work with full patience and follow the commands of those rich mill owners.

Do not go on strike and do not make any demand about raising the wages.
Otherwise you will incur more sin and your future life will be dark’.
Then those opportunist intellectuals give the negative justification that,
‘your pitiful condition is your own self-creation and that is what Lord
Krsna says in the Giita’.

So see the hypocrisy of that jinani. He twisted Lord Krsna’s theory about
rebirth and facing the samskara. The point here is that exploiters always
manipulate good teachings for their selfish reasons. In His discourse Baba
clearly explains this very cunning tactic.

A similar thing has happened in the case of silent action.

HOW THEY MANIPULATE SILENT ACTION: Part I

Certain opportunists are cheating margiis and misguiding
everyone about this entire silent action theory. They tell alright, ‘If
this or that group leader is doing something wrong and doing all sorts of
injustices like curtailing margii rights, then if you are unhappy with
them then just do silent action’.

Yet all the while such opportunists are fully aware that the margii whom they are speaking with lives far, far away from Tiljala or Ananda Nagar and that
he has no opportunity to see those top group leaers.

Even then to befool that very simple margii, they tell him
that ‘follow silent action against them’.

But in such a situation silent action will never work.

For instance, you can imagine what will happen if simple village folk of
Afghanistan take silent action against top US officials. Such an attempt will be complete foolishness. Because silent action has its limitation. Its
hinterland is very limited. The person who is not living around you, who is
not in your unit, or not in your village, or not in your family, and not
living close by, and who is not in your direct line of communication, etc–
in all these situations silent action will not work.

Silent action’s arena of use is limited to the reach of one’s pathway
of direct communication. If one has regular communication with that
particular person then silent action will achieve the desired effect. But
if one does not have any communication with that person against whom You
are doing silent action, then that will be foolish.

HOW THEY MANIPULATE SILENT ACTION: Part II

Nowadays cunning people use this trick of silent action to befool and
misguide others. They tell ‘take silent action against certain group
leaders because they curtailed BP rights etc. You need not to do anything.
Do not propagate your ideas or problems in any other way– just take silent
action against them because he distorted Baba’s discourse BP system
which grants margiis a voice etc. So take silent action. But you should not
write any letter or protest in any other way. Baba has given silent action
just you follow.’ Like this they talk and manipulate some simple margiis.

Now the question arises that why do these intellectual satans create this
logic and give this type of suggestion. The reason is that they know full
well in advance that according to those adverse circumstances, silent
action will not have any effect. Time will pass by without any result.
And the era of exploitation will go on and on.

Many times we may have seen how high officials pay agents to misguide
others in the name of this silent action theory. They move around in all
the programs and spray water on the fuel of revolution. Whenever they see
that simple persons are feeling completely suffocated and want to do
something, then those agents misguide those disgruntled margiis that, ‘do
not do anything except  take silent action. You have the right to do
silent action but not anything else’.

So in this situation every sincere margii should know that cunning people
always misguide about the practicality and use of silent action. And
by this way they continue their exploitation in an unhindered way.

THE INHERENT LIMITATIONS OF SILENT ACTION

For this reason it is essential that each and every Ananda Margii be
acutely aware of how silent action really works. Here below Baba guides us:

Baba says, “Silent action will force strict adherence to our principles,
and it will put those against whom it is directed to shame.” (AV-23, p. 151)

So the striking point is that the practice of silent action forces the
person into feeling ashamed for their misdeeds. Through circumstantial
pressure silent action achieves that result. And for that, direct contact
is needed. Because if someone is sitting quietly in one part of the globe
taking silent action and the exploiting party is somewhere else far away,
then they will not feel any shame as they are completely unaware that
anyone is even taking silent action against them. So they will thus
continue on and on with their exploitation–Hence in such a circumstance
silent action will not work. So in such a scenario we should consider
another way to proceed.

BE VOCAL & RAISE IDEOLOGICAL CONSCIOUSNESS

And that way is consciousness raising: Raising the ideological standard
across the globe about the deeper aspects of AM ideology. Then
when all are aware about their rights and Baba’s teachings, naturally
proper corrective measures will be taken. The requisite social pressure
will be created and our organisation will be cleaned.

Everyone should write in with their suggestions. Kindly also see notes 1-4
below.

Namaskar,
Mahesh

Note 1: Here Baba reveals how misguided intellectuals take advantage of the
innocent masses.

Baba says, “The boot-licking vipras of the capitalists trick the hungry
shudras into believing that poverty is a result of their previous misdeeds,
and they will have to be prepared to wait until their next life before
receiving the inexorable decree of fate. This makes a group of people
passive fatalists and paves the way for the ruthless exploitation of the
capitalists.”

Note 2: Everyone knows that silent action is a cardinal human right given
by Baba. Baba says, “Silent action is a question of human rights.” (AV-23,
p. 150)

Note 3: In those situations that fall outside the purview or jurisdiction
of silent action we have to think and evaluate what our other options are
and how to move ahead.

Note 4: We should always remember this following Baba’s blessing:

Baba says, “He is always with you– Only move forward fearlessly with
unfaltering steps towards your Goal. May you all be blessed.” (SS pt 12, p.53)

***************************************
There should not be any confusion

Baba says, “Now why does He come in contact with the quinquelemental
factors?  Why does He come within the jurisdictions of the
temporal-spatial-personal factors, these three fundamentally-related
factors?  What’s the cause?  There are two reasons. One thing is, the human
intellect may get satisfaction after coming in psychic contact with the
Impersonal Entity, but the human heart is not satisfied with that
Impersonal Entity.  The human heart wants something closer, something more sentimental, something more pleasing.  And that’s why just to satisfy, just to give pleasure to, His progeny, He comes within the scope of these
relative factors.  Parama Purus’a becomes Ta’raka Brahma.  And the second
reason is that in this created world, in this universe, each and every
progress is a progress through clashes and cohesion.  And human beings must have sufficient intellectual stamina to move forward, fighting against all
those pebbles of obstacles.  When the human intellect fails to do something
new in helping society to move forward, Parama Purus’a finds no alternative
but to bring Himself within the scope of the temporal-spatial-personal
factors just to guide the depraved and degenerate human society.” (AV-12,
p.43-44)

Note: So Parama Purusa must follow His vow. That is He comes for
establishing dharma. Everyone knows that dharma is getting established by
His invisible grace.

When Parama Purusa remains as an impersonal Entity then the heart of the
devotee does not get satisfied. And when He comes in human form and teaches and guides the way to reach to Him, then He provides a ladder also. And with that help, devotees reach Him.

We know that ladder is the process of dhyana– which can link from form to
formlessness. That is why the culmination of dhyana is the merging into
formlessness– dissolving the mind.

Devotees always feels that Baba is residing there– in their heart.
We see in the history of devotion, that that each and every devotee in the
world felt that the Lord is with them. Indeed the entire composition of
Surdas and Mirabai is proof of that.

No doubt, jinanis and karmiis may be thinking in their own way, but
devotees feel that Baba is living in their heart.
